Resources for Iranian Students

We understand that some of our Iranian students may currently be facing uncertainty, stress, or practical challenges. Please know that you are not alone.

There are several trusted organisations in Hungary that provide support in a wide range of areas, including immigration matters, mental health, housing, employment, and social assistance.

We encourage students to reach out to civil organisations that specialize in supporting migrants. These organisations work closely together and can guide you to the most appropriate help based on your individual situation.

A Recommended First Point of Contact

We suggest contacting Menedék – Hungarian Association for Migrants, which serves as an excellent starting point for accessing support:

  • Address: 1066 Budapest, Ó utca 39.
  • Phone: +36 20 450 7245
  • Website: menedek.hu
  • Email: This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

How to get in touch:
Students are advised to contact Menedék via email. In your message, briefly introduce yourself, describe your current situation, and explain what kind of assistance you are seeking.

The organisation will respond and arrange a personal appointment, where they will assess your needs and discuss possible support options. If additional help is required beyond their services, they can refer you to other relevant organisations. For example, while they do not provide direct financial aid, they can help connect you with charities that do.
