Services of the WIU Student Services Office

The role of the WIU Student Services Office is primarily to create various forms of meeting and networking opportunities for university students as well as for companies and businesses. It provides opportunities for students to more easily obtain professional internship placements, become familiar with employment opportunities, and learn about the expectations employers have toward graduates of the university.

The office also communicates the needs of both students and companies, and provides real data on the employment opportunities and prospects of graduates from the university, thereby reflecting the labour-market value of their degrees.

We are very proud that our students are able to find employment quickly after obtaining their degrees. We have always placed strong emphasis on a truly practice-oriented approach to education. However, we have now envisioned a renewed and repositioned Student Services Office that prepares our students for the employment challenges of the present and the future.

In today’s labour market, one of the most valuable skills is the ability to develop and adapt quickly. The coordinated operation of our educational group of companies enables us to achieve success together with our students by fostering this ability.

A few organizations that can be helpful for international students:

A Recommended First Point of Contact

We suggest contacting Menedék – Hungarian Association for Migrants, which serves as an excellent starting point for accessing support:

How to get in touch:
Students are advised to contact Menedék via email. In your message, briefly introduce yourself, describe your current situation, and explain what kind of assistance you are seeking.

The organisation will respond and arrange a personal appointment, where they will assess your needs and discuss possible support options. If additional help is required beyond their services, they can refer you to other relevant organisations. For example, while they do not provide direct financial aid, they can help connect you with charities that do.
